Grandma- Sarah Narcomey

“Oh I’m your hero
I’m so happy!”

I interviewed my grandma on how she let a person stay at her house and she didn’t even know him. My aunt whose name is Alice met him in Jackson Hole while she was working there for the summer. When it got close to when she was done working there she told him that if he was ever in Ogden to look her family up and come say hi. He didn’t really have a stable home so he took her up on her offer and went there.

When he got there he met my grandma and grandpa first. My grandma being the inviting and welcoming person she is she let him stay there. He stayed there for only a month but it turned his life around to not be a hitchhiker. After he stayed with my grandma he stayed at another family’s house. Although he didn’t stay long we all refer to him as the 9th child and comes to a lot of our family parties. He has 4 children and a wife named Stacy.

My hero fits as being a hero because she meets up to a lot of the hero standards. The reason I think she fits is because although she’s old she still comes to all of my cousins weddings and comes to things if they get awards. Another reason I think she fits is she was able to get through a death her husband and my grandpa was ran over by a train but she was able to get through it.

What I learned from this is that even if you don’t know someone that well if someone you know thinks they have potential then you should try to make an impact on their life. Another thing I learned is that even in a short time you can make  a difference.
