Alan Dawes- Keziah

Research studies show that you are most likely to get shot by a fat cop if you run”

Cops don’t just sit around, eat doughnuts and drink coffee! They do a lot more than that and deserve more respect.

My dad “Alan Dawes” first became a police officer in New Zealand.  He was known as one of the best officers on the team. He had quite the experience in taekwondo. He had two levels on a black belt. He was very brave and loved his job.

Alan had been serving as a police officer for several years now. He went through crazy experiences. One time, someone who he was trying to arrest tried to gouge out his eyes. Luckily the rascal didn’t succeed. Alan ended up quitting his job after a while in the business. He quit because the exiting job took time away to spend with his family. I'm glad that he knows family is more important than any job in the world.

I think my dad is a hero because he fights for justice and what's right. He is also a caring father, caring enough to quit his job he loved for his family. I’m glad he is my dad.
